Richard graduated from Denver Automotive & Diesel College in 1978. After returning home he started his career at Bridgeport Mack Trucks, Town of Newtown Highway Department, Manfredi Motor Transit, and Carolina Freight Carriers. Having worked for different types of businesses and fleets he gained a large amount of experience working on trucks and trailers.
